Hi all! With 2015 coming to a close, this is going to be my last blog post of the year! I am so excited for 2016 and to continue blogging and making connections with all of you. This year has been filled with so many ups and downs. I don't even know where to begin recapping it. But, I am going to do my best.
The start of 2015 was one of the hardest and most emotional times in my life. I had just broken up with Max and felt like my heart was split in two. As the year went on, the pain he caused cut deeper and deeper, and in May I had even more challenges to overcome, when I learned of his new relationship. That was also when I created this blog, and my true recovery began. If you look back at my blogs from May and June, you can clearly comprehend the pain and heartache I was feeling day in and day out. It was brutal. But slowly, over time, that pain began to subside. I owe much of that to you all.
Of course time helps heals wounds, but there are other factors that help with the process. Writing is a release. It is a way to express your feelings and release the emotions you have bottled up. Writing blogs, and sharing my story with you all helped me with my recovery. I can't imagine how I would have gotten through this year without this release, without the support of you all, and without connecting with people who were experiencing the same feelings I was. It was also incredibly exciting to help some of you feel better after your breakups as well.
When I started this blog I had two goals. I wanted to help myself, and I wanted to help other people with broken hearts. I wanted to help at broken hearted individuals feel like they weren't alone. I have gotten many messages, comments, and tweets from people who felt like they now had someone who understood their pain. Hearing that warmed my heart, and made me feel like everything I went through happened for a reason. Maybe I experienced these horrible breakups in order to help other people. If that is the reason, I am so grateful for them. I am so thankful I could help other people feel loved and not alone. Everyone deserves to feel special, and know that they are so loved.
Thank you all for helping me recover. I couldn't have done it without you. Until next time!
